AGF Organics advanced equipment allows our staff of graduate-level chemists, biochemists and microbiologists to test and calculate our products at every step of the production cycle. New formulations and product ideas are developed and tested here. We’re constantly looking for new complementary ingredient combinations to better support overall health. Our sensory evaluation lab is where selected products are sampled and rated for their sensory, or organoleptic, properties. Products and ingredients in this category require unique and specialized processes and analyses that our Personal Care lab is specifically equipped to handle.

AUTHENTICITY OF HERBS
AGF Organics uses the industry-accepted organoleptic testing practice to properly identify our botanicals. It includes the physical research of the botanical using the senses of taste, smell, sight, and touch—our recognized experts in the field of Ayurvedic herb identification. We use visual and microscopic identification to identify and verify that we are collecting the correct species. Only by passing these tests do the plants proceed for further process.

We also offer a variety of both in-house testing and third-party solutions to ensure the integrity and quality of our products.
Our QC managers assure the quality standards are met at various manufacturing process steps. And our QA department makes final checks for the following tests before giving release:
- Assay of the standard by HPLC, HPTLC and GC
- Physical parameters like color, taste, identification, particle size, solubility etc.
- Impurities check for Heavy metals, volatile organic impurities, fertilizer and pesticides, organic solvents and related substances.
- Microbiological counts for total plates, E. Coli, S. Aureus, P. Pseudomonas, Yeast and Molds
- Our Quality Assurance team inspects and monitors the quality of the ingredients right from the procurement stage to the finished product.

A third-party lab tests every batch of AGF Organics products to ensure quality. Our products are all minimally processed and contain only botanicals, so there will naturally be slight variations in nutrient content and color due to growing conditions, the time of harvest, and even the individual farm that grew the plants.

A third-party lab tests every batch of our botanicals to ensure our products are free from harmful pathogens.
Batch Testing For Heavy Metals
We avoid ingredients grown in areas with high levels of heavy metals in the soil. However, we still test each batch to ensure no elevated levels of heavy metals like mercury, arsenic, cadmium, and lead.
Pesticides
At AGF Organics, we conduct spot testing for pesticides in our in-house lab and third-party labs to ensure the virtue of the organic certification of our partner farms. Our entire production is free from the use of pesticides, sewage sludge, ionizing radiation, and genetic engineering (GMOs).
